Have you ever wondered by they don’t take certain types of credit cards, and if they do take your credit card you have to pay an additional fee?.Have you ever called the City of Tulsa? Have you ever found your day evaporating why you wait on hold.However to date, it appears as though Tulsa is fond of implementing Git N’ Go’s “Winning” customer service strategy, and everyone reading this knows what I am talking about. Thus, wouldn’t it make sense to implement their customer service and success strategies in the City of Tulsa? They have thousands of employees, and so does the city of Tulsa. Mentally marinate on that. I think that the majority of us can all agree that QuikTrip is the most successful customer service business in Tulsa and in the region. In practical terms, he was telling the city of Tulsa to implement the same proven systems within its city government that QuikTrip uses within its company. He was referring to how much easier it is to achieve when you implement that same proven strategies and ideas employed by successful people and organizations. When Sir Isaac Newton so wisely wrote, “If I have seen farther it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants” he was not referring to standing on the shoulder’s of the Earth’s tallest humans. We can make Tulsa great again by adopting established and proven “industry best practices” and implementing them city wide into local government. A Question for Tulsans: Should we run Tulsa like a QuikTrip or a “Git N’ Go?”
